Thank you Hip Mountain Mama!

I never win anything. I take that back. I rarely win anything. Until last week, the last time I remember winning something in a giveaway event was when I was a kid. I randomly entered a holiday drawing and won a fake Christmas tree. I think I was in 5th grade. A fake Christmas tree isn’t that exciting for a kid. I think I was more excited about the fact that I actually won than WHAT I won.

Fast forward a couple decades. There are tons of giveaway events everyday on the internet on websites, blogs, blog hops, facebook, twitter.... When I first discovered this new world of giveaway events a few months ago I started entering all of them I came across that seemed interesting. I never won so I stopped entering as many. 

Then last week I saw that Hip Mountain Mama was hosting a giveaway for a WHOLE OUTFIT  plus accessory of your choice. I figured what the heck, I’ll enter since I LOVE their stuff and I rarely get anything new for myself since I shop second hand.

Well imagine my surprise last week when I opened my email and read I WON!!!! I had to reread it a couple times because I just couldn’t believe it. I was ecstatic and still am. What a generous giveaway!

What makes this an even more amazing giveaway winning is that all of the creations that Hip Mountain Mama sells are fair trade or made in the USA by small businesses, some even handmade by other work from home families!

What I chose for my outfit: The Butterfly Love skirt, Wise Old Owl tshirt and Tubular headband with Feathers.

I immediately fell in love with the Butterfly Love Skirt. Even thought I'm still working off a little baby weight since our baby was born 10 months ago, it fits wonderful thanks to a little elastic waistband. I love wearing skirts and have been called  "the skirt girl" many times so this was the perfect addition to my skirt collection. It was even comfy enough to water my flowers in!

 I have been seeing more owls this last year than I have in my whole life so when I saw the Wise Old Owl tshirt I knew I had to have it. Love it!

 I also have a thing for feathers so the feathers headband was love at first sight. I have really long hair and always trying to find ways to keep it back out of my face and this worked great.  It is really soft and comfy- I think I’m going to be wearing this everyday!

So thank you, thank you, thank you Hip Mountain Mama! This giveaway winning is WAY more exciting than a fake Christmas tree :)
