{Sunday's
heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of
gratitudes.}
This weekly post on Sunday is truly
my favorite post each week, the one I most look forward to writing and sharing.
Whether you’re a blogger and want to join in the link-up or you just want to
write your own gratitude in a journal just for yourself, I encourage you to do
so.
The act of writing down your daily or weekly gratitudes is something to be grateful for, a wonderful way to reflect back and realize what we truly are blessed with and grateful for in our lives.
The act of writing down your daily or weekly gratitudes is something to be grateful for, a wonderful way to reflect back and realize what we truly are blessed with and grateful for in our lives.
Highlights
of what I wrote about being grateful for this past week:
-A week at
home with no appointments or plans. After a wonderful but busy two weeks prior,
it was nice to stay home and just spend quiet, peaceful days with our little
nugget. Playing, taking walks, working on projects, napping, gardening. Sometimes
it is nice to be a bit anti-social and have some time to ourselves to relax and
recharge.
-Going for
a walk every day this week. I’ve been especially enjoying early morning walks
before the day heats up and everything seems a bit more quiet and peaceful. It
feels so good to start my day this way just having time to think, clear my
head and just be. Makes me feel so renewed and centered.
-Getting a
TON of fabric cut out to sew up more creations to sell. Between vacationing, taking time to care for myself, and
not being able to sew with a busy, teething baby I haven’t been creating as
much the last month or two which means less income. Our little nugget has been
enjoying playing independently next to me while I cut out fabric so we’ve had
some very productive days- FINALLY!
-Listening
to my heart and doing what feels right. I’ve learned over the years that if my
heart is telling me something, I need to listen. Sometimes that can be really
difficult but I’ve learned the hard way that it is much better for my soul if I
listen.
-10
gallons of Flathead cherries for FREE!!!! We of course had to go pick them
ourselves but it was well worth it so we’ll have cherries to eat throughout the
year. I also am extremely grateful for the person who created a cherry pitter. I just finished pitting 10 gallons of
cherries and it was exhausting with the cherry pitter so I cannot imagine doing
it without one!
-Living in
such a beautiful area where we can drive an hour and be on the shore of
beautiful Flathead Lake, surround by mountains, and breathing the clean, fresh
air. We also were lucky enough to see a cinnamon bear run across the road on
the way home from the lake!
-Being
able to figure out some basic computer/graphic technology which is definitely not
my forte. It can be extremely frustrating for me when I don’t know how to do
something but luckily these days we can “google” anything and find help on the
internet to be able to self-learn which for me is very gratifying.

Hello sweet Annie!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all your gratitudes from your week.
I appreciate time at home too. :)
Early morning walks sound like a wonderful idea.
It takes a lot of creativity to get creating done with little ones around, doesn't it? Good job!
I love the whole part about listening to your heart. So true.
Great score on the cherries! One year Jeff made a cherry pitter because we didn't have one and needed one.
Love, Taryn
Taryn, I love that Jeff made a cherry pitter- so creative and talented!
DeleteP.S. I just replied to your comment on my blog with a link to instructions for doing the html box
ReplyDeleteThank you Taryn! I gave up on it and was letting it sit until I built up enough patience and perseverance to try it again. I will check out the link you shared and hopefully that will help me finish this challenging project :)
DeleteLove the sound of your week of walking and cherries, both things I love as well. Flathead Lake sounds beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by April! Flathead Lake really is so beautiful, it is close but we don't get up there too often since there are so many other beautiful places to explore around here :)
DeleteHi Annie! Thank you so much for checking out my blog and my gratitude list. You're right that finding time to create for a shop sure can be difficult especially with little ones running around. : ) I am happy to say that my oldest one is becoming quite the little helper for mama these days.
ReplyDeleteHello Kellie! I can't wait until our baby is big enough to help me out, for now she just plays with my fabric scraps and watches me create :)
DeleteAmen to listening to your heart. I did that this week as well (more consciously) and it helped me make some major decisions. Love your gratitude list!
