Foodie Friday: Becoming a Food Snob and Canning Sweet and Spicy Plum Sauce

I am a food snob. I’m probably no different than many of you in this way. I’m sure we can all agree that eating healthy, wholesome, homegrown, locally grown or organic foods are much tastier than highly processed foods from the grocery store. I strive to preserve and can as much of our family’s fruit and veggies as I am able throughout the year. We also hunt and wild harvest the majority of the meat we eat throughout the year (read more about that here).
So how did I become a food snob? Today I am guest posting over at Frugal Foodie Mama so you will have to hop over there to find out!
I’m also sharing a REALLY tasty recipe for Sweet and Spicy Plum sauce and how to can it so make sure you check it out by clicking here!

Great recipe… I became a foodie because I and my daughter have food allergies and needed to keep away from processed foods… it has been a blessing in disguise. Thanks for sharing this recipe on foodie friday.

I love to hear how other people became foodies! I’m sure you and your daughter’s bodies are much happier now that you have shifted what you eat. Plus non-processed foods taste so much better too :)

I have never had a plum sauce before, but I have a friend who makes it and he loves it! I may just have to try it out. What would you pair it with? Dropping by from Delicious Dish Tuesday.

I’ve become a food snob over the years too and I am happy to be raising a little one as well. She doesn’t care for goldfish crackers, but give her potato, leek and turkey soup and she’s all over it. Thanks for linking up with Tuesday Greens!

That’s awesome Becky! Our daughter is the same way, if someone gives her something processed like that she won’t eat it but she loves fresh produce and really loves when we give her little baby size bits of venison she can eat!
