A Little Sunday Potluck 11~4~2012

I LOVE potlucks! It probably has something to do with my love of good food, but I don’t think it gets any better than friends coming together to share their best recipes and ideas. Who doesn’t love a table overflowing with a little of this and a little of that? This love of potlucks inspired Carrie from Frugal Foodie Mama to create A Little Sunday Potluck to share the top five blog finds from the last week. So just like a potluck, you’ll find a little of everything from tasty recipes to DIY projects, inspiring words or natural parenting tips.
This is my inaugural day co-hosting A Little Sunday Potluck and I’m thrilled to be joining in! Carrie has been hosting this fun weekly round up for a while now but since all of us work from home mamas need a little break every now and then, we decided to team up and co-host so the fun can continue but she gets a little break every other week. So what does this mean for you all? Basically every other week I will host A Little Sunday Potluck and share my top five favorite blog posts from the last week. On the weeks I’m not hosting, Carrie will host on her blog. We’ll always share a link to the other blog on the week we’re not the main host so we can all share in the potluck fun together!

So now on to the best part, my top five favorite picks of the week!

1. Motivation Monday: One Thing from A Life in Balance. Ever feel a little lost or overwhelmed with life? That has been me this last month trying to keep my Etsy Shop and blog going when the majority of my time has been spent chasing our little nugget around the house. This is my favorite pick of the week because it was so helpful for me. It Inspired me to sit down and make some clear goals and objectives!

2. Favorite Coconut Recipes from This Chick Cooks. Since we started using coconut oil over the summer, I’ve been trying to find more recipes to use coconut. This post has quite the list of tasty recipes using coconut including homemade peppermint patties and mint chocolate chip ice cream- two of my favorites!

3. Top Ten Ways to Entertain Your Toddler Indoors from Crunchy Farm Baby. Now that our little nugget is mobile and into EVERYTHING I have been desperately seeking activities to keep her occupied. I was so thrilled when I came across this post this week! I especially like that she even rates how long it occupied her little guy and his level of enjoyment with the activity!
4. Staying at Home With Your Kids When You Can Barely Afford it from The Humbled Homemaker. Staying home with our little nugget means we are now living on a fraction of the monthly income we were this time last year which can be challenging at times. This post was really inspiring and had a bunch of tips on how they have learned to make ends meet.

5. How to Turn Any Recipe Into A Real Food Recipe from Homemade Mommy. This great post comes with a printable chart that shows what ingredients to swap out to convert any recipe into one with real food ingredients. I’ve been trying to convert some favorite old family recipes into healthier ones so loved this helpful post!

Thank you so much for hosting the Potluck this weekend! :) And oh my gosh… you have some awesome finds from this past week. I am going to set some time aside this afternoon when baby girl goes down for her nap to read them ALL. Thank you again! :)
