Homestead Bloggers Holiday Recipes ebook Review

I just read through The Homestead Bloggers Holiday Recipes ebook My mouth is watering and I’m starving after reading through all these yummy recipes! If it weren’t almost my bedtime I would probably be heading into the kitchen to try out a few of these delicious looking recipes.

For those of you who may not know me too well, I will just tell you now that I love to cook and I love to eat good food. I’m always searching for new real food recipes to try out to keep my family well fed and healthy.

The Homestead Bloggers Holiday Recipes ebook is filled with over 80 recipes ranging from salads to deserts, appetizers, side dishes, main courses, breads and even holiday drinks! The recipes are all written by bloggers who are part of the Homestead Bloggers Network, meaning they are all living some form of homesteading lifestyle. This typically involves cooking from scratch and raising your own veggies, chickens, goats or cows. It isn’t too often I find a recipe book that lists ingredients such as “farm fresh eggs”!

A couple recipes that caught my eye that I want to try in the next few days are Kale Bacon Salad and Bacon Tomato Dip (Can you tell we’re a bacon loving family?!) The Pomegranate Guacamole, Cranberry Baked Brie, Flax Seed Crackers and Sourdough Biscuits are also on my list to make for our upcoming holiday feast.

We won a free turkey from the grocery store that we will be making next week for Christmas. Since our Thanksgiving turkey was cooked in a turkey fryer as part of our off-grid Thanksgiving, I’m looking forward to trying out the Citrus Rubbed Turkey recipe. Yum!!

From my perusal of the book, the recipes I saw in the ebook contained real food, meaning no pre-packaged or overly processed ingredients. This is really important to me since we strive to eat healthy, wholesome, real food meals in our house.

This recipe book is an ebook which makes it an excellent choice for a last minute holiday gift because you don’t have to worry about shipping! Plus it is only $2.99 on Amazon which is a pretty affordable price for this many recipes!

You can find the book by clicking here. Happy Holidays and happy cooking!
